An Idaho assistant chief died Feb. 8 while working on the department's new station.

John Coyle, 63, suffered an apparent heart attack, according to the USFA.

Coyle was a volunteer with West Pend Oreille Fire District in Priest River, Idaho.

Donations in his honor for the new station may be made to West Pend Oreille Fire District, PO Box 1267, 1104 Ninth ST, Priest River, ID 83856.
